Well I just pray that Tony will wake up and realize what life has to offer at Alabama. He needs to learn he is not above the team. RTR!

Well, 1 of 3 things is going to happen: he gets his act together, he transfers, or he gets kicked off the team.

According to ESPN, the player's leadership council has made it known that this is a business trip and the team is there to win.  No one is going out at night like happened in New Orleans last year.  So whatever team rule Brown violated, apparently it reflected a lack of focus on the task at hand, winning, and the team decided he should go home.

Sounds like someone was out very late at night. He was probably just taking in the sights or at the all night Books-a-Million reading.

There is no doubt that this team has a laser sharp focus. No crap from anyone will be tolerated.

The article coach linked mentions that "three years ago Dillion Lee and Ryan Anderson were sent home for curfew violations before the NC game with ND."  Well these two got their act together after that.  Let's hope Tony is affected in the same way.

I wonder if he will be allowed to be on the roster for the NC game?  He will have to come crawling back for that to happen.

Not entirely.  He helped us get a #1 ranking in recruiting.   :lol2:

He'll be happier at Oregon State (or wherever).  :dunno:

Then that is what must have made him late to "numerous team meetings".  That is the story I am being told, his being late several times.  Some players felt it was a detriment and showed a lack of respect for the team's seriousness for the game.

If true, so be it, one bad apple..............

A little clarity on the subject.

http://www.al.com/alabamafootball/index.ssf/2015/12/incident_during_practice_led_t.html

Quote
Alabama's decision to send cornerback Tony Brown home from the Cotton Bowl was made after Brown started a fight with one of the Tide's defensive lineman during one of Alabama's pre-Cotton Bowl practices, according to sources.

The decision to send Brown home was made by the Tide's player leadership council, according to sources.

Starting a fight with your own players before a big playoff game like this? Maybe he needs to go behind the woodshed and learn it ain't about him but 85 people as a team. RTR!

Picking a fight with a D-lineman?  That Mexican (and Lebanese) food can do crazy things to you.

Starting a fight with a defensive lineman?  He may not be smart enough to play football at Bama.  I'd say his days are definitely limited.  I seem to recall a media person who watched a recent Bama practice report that Coach Saban yelled at Brown, "Tony if you don't want to be here, get your stuff and get out." This may be the final straw.

The tail doesn't wag the dog at Bama, sorry Tony. Somehow I get the feeling that CNS has put this matter on the back burner until the NCG is over with, too big of a distraction since the Leadership Committee is what sent him home. I get the feeling that CNS has one more meeting with the committee before making a final decision. Maybe this is the information that he is waiting for. :dunno:
