Title: Re: Tide Basketball vs Jacksonville State tonight 7 p.m. SEC Network+ Post by: Marshal Dillon on December 29, 2015, 08:07:46 PM JSU announcers have been whining all game about Tide fouling & getting away with it. I think Stan White must be working the game. 30-29 JSU. We need to start using our size inside with Taylor, Kessens, & Hall.

Title: Re: Tide Basketball vs Jacksonville State tonight 7 p.m. SEC Network+ Post by: Marshal Dillon on December 29, 2015, 08:58:55 PM JSU is 4-10 for the year. Very embarrassing performance by Alabama. Their tallest starter is 6'7", another is 6'6". Other starters are 6'4", 6'2", & 6'2". Wow. What a lousy performance by Tide.

Did Hale play? Title: Re: Tide Basketball vs Jacksonville State tonight 7 p.m. SEC Network+ Post by: ricky023 on December 29, 2015, 09:29:11 PM Hey hammer down. I rather another number in the win column than I had the loss column. RTR!

Title: Re: Tide Basketball vs Jacksonville State tonight 7 p.m. SEC Network+ Post by: McBaman on December 29, 2015, 10:18:44 PM I was looking for something to give me confidence going into SEC play. These last two games didn't do it.

Glad we won, even though it was apparently a very ugly game. Did Hale play? Hale dressed out but did not play. His shirt tail was never tucked in and his shoes were his personal ones (gray color and unlike others) and were not laced up. He was not expecting to play IMO. I watched the game on ESPN3 (WatchESPN). Maybe you should pay your cable bill? :dunno: Title: Re: Tide Basketball vs Jacksonville State tonight 7 p.m. SEC Network+ Post by: pmull on December 30, 2015, 06:50:18 AM According to ESPN our RPI rose from 26 to 33 and our SOS went up to 76 after the Jax St loss. This game could have tanked our entire season if we had not woke up in overtime.
FYI Jax St RPI is 334 with a 2-11 record. Pretty poor showing by us last night but we survived. Title: Re: Tide Basketball vs Jacksonville State tonight 7 p.m. SEC Network+ Post by: ricky023 on December 30, 2015, 12:09:14 PM I wonder if we play to the talent of the other team? We have beaten some good teams this year with the likes of: ND, Wichita State and such. RTR!
Title: Re: Tide Basketball vs Jacksonville State tonight 7 p.m. SEC Network+ Post by: Jamos on December 30, 2015, 09:26:08 PM It wasn't the game that we all expected and wanted to see but as some said, it was a win. You could definitely see the "holiday effect" on the team but Jacksonville State played their heart out and almost won the game. I think Bama gains more than a win out of this game, they had to reach inside of themselves and find a will to win and they did. They could very easily have done what the team had been doing the past few years, lose.
It was another close game but with each of these close games, regardless of the opponent, there is something that can be learned and I think this team is learning, faster than what some may want to believe. As it was said in the Karate Kid movie, "patience Grasshopper", and that is exactly the mood that I am trying to stay in this year. This team has a lot of energy and a will to win, plus a very good coach and staff and that's something us fans haven't seen in a very long time wouldn't you say. ;) Title: Re: Tide Basketball vs Jacksonville State tonight 7 p.m. SEC Network+ Post by: 2Stater on December 30, 2015, 09:33:00 PM It wasn't the game that we all expected and wanted to see but as some said, it was a win. He didn't have any bandages that could be seen or seemed to be favoring and injury of any type. This has been one of the best kept secrets ever on the Bama athletic campus. There's a lot of opinions floating around with most thinking it is drug related but I haven't heard a peep out of anyone that might be in the know. :dunno: Title: Re: Tide Basketball vs Jacksonville State tonight 7 p.m. SEC Network+ Post by: 2Stater on December 30, 2015, 10:21:41 PM WatchESPN had the game on their lineup, but I wasn't able to access it. What bothers me is that JSU is a lousy team (4-11), it's tallest starter was 6'7". This is a big concern with the SEC season around the corner. This game is definitely a wake-up call for Bama & I bet CAJ will approach it that way. :tinfoil: |
