Title: Auburn BB Disaster
Post by: Marshal Dillon on December 25, 2015, 07:54:45 PM
This is from Wednesday night (23rd) but this is my first chance to post something. In year 2 of Bruce Pearl & Auburn, the ship is taking on water fast. They played Harvard in a Hawaii tournament with interesting results.

Quote
The Harvard men’s basketball team roared to a 16-point lead first half lead for the second day in a row, but a day after giving it up by halftime, the Crimson (5-6) never looked back Wednesday, rolling to a 69-51 win over the Auburn Tigers (6-4).

Pearl's barn team got beat tonight 79-67 by Hawaii. The fall to 6-5. They also have got a couple of guys hurt. They are holding out hope that Purifoy will get ruled eligible. They look pretty bad so far. Not much, if any, improvement in year two for Pearl.

Harvard is leading #3 Oklahoma 35-31 in first half of their game. Harvard has come out of nowhere and is playing some good BB. Harvard has a losing record so I can't explain it.

 :dunno:

Tony Barbee left the cupboard very bare it seems.

At least it was basketball. If the barners would have matched up Harvard in some sort of intellectual contest, can you imagine how bad it would be?

Are you kidding? The Barn beat them in tobacco spitting, cow milking, outhouse construction, toilet paper tossing, & goat herding contests.

The barn lost back-to-back games to Harvard and Hawaii and the fans are complaining about the refs. Sounds a lot like the results their last coach and the coach before that got.

Has the barn ever lost a game in any sport that was not caused by the officials. Most teams occasionally complain the calls did not not go their way. The barners are so paranoid they actually believe the officials are out to get them.  :stars:

Auburn is just too da#@ dumb to be on the floor with Harvard.

(I read this comment on another board and thought it was worth repeating)

Did they blame Bama, Nick Saban, the SEC office, NCAA, & Bear Bryant, too?

Pearl turned one tourney win over Bama into two jobs at Bama's biggest rivals.  He had Tennessee going for a short time before burning it to the ground.  Auburn is still stuck in the cow manure.  Couldn't happen to a nicer group of people.

Maybe Pearl's a double agent for the Rec.   :-\

Well with the mess Pearl left at Tenn. I got a feeling auburn may be in bigger trouble by the time he leaves. RTR!
