Title: Temple v Toledo
Post by: Catch Prothro on December 22, 2015, 08:16:03 PM
Game is on ESPN.  Toledo 12 Temple 9

Toledo has a TD, FG and safety
Temple has 3 FGs

I didn't see the first half, other than highlights.  It looked like Toledo's defense stuffed Temple, and Toledo QB Phillip Ely did a good job finding open receivers and moving the team down the field.

In the second half, Toledo hasn't stopped Temple, just limited them to 2 FGs with 2 drives.  On offense, Toledo mostly is trying to run the football; they went three and out and punted on their first possession.

In other bowl news, Akron beat Utah State earlier today.   I know Utah State is down this year, but losing to Akron, the cupcake of the north?

How many saw that coming?  (I know Jamos finally got tripped up, but from what I can tell, so did the rest of us.)  Did anyone pick Akron?   :-\

Speaking of Jamos, I saw he picked Temple in this game.  I picked Toledo.  So either he extends his lead over the pack, or we got a tie.

I was rooting for Jamos, going 6-0, but now that he has a ding, the gloves are off.   :lol2:

Phillip Ely looks like somebody nuked his face. It's absolutely purple.

Another TD Toledo, following an INT by Temple.

Toledo is pulling away.  25-9, with 5 minutes left.

Phillip Ely just named the player of the game.

So Temple was Notre Dame's biggest win this seaon, or was it Navy?   :-\

Toledo handling Temple much easier than Notre Dame.

Temple scores a TD, makes the 2 point conversion, down by 8.

3 minutes left.  Temple tries onsides kick.  Right up the middle, looks like the kicker got it, but refs rule otherwise.  Big melee, unsportsmanlike flags.  No sufficient video evidence to overturn.

Toledo runs up the middle for a TD on their first play from scrimmage.

Toledo 32, Temple 17.  2:22 left.

Stick a fork in them, Temple is done.

Well Temple hasn't quit yet.  Driving down to the 18 yard line.  But only 1:30 left.

SACK!

Temple uses their last timeout.

And a 4th down heave to the end zone is nearly completed but falls into the end zone.  Game over.

Toledo 32  Temple 17  FINAL

I'm now 2-6 in the pick 'em.  I'm fortunate gambling has never appealed to me.

I know complaining is not in your nature Preacher but, if I were you, I'd be hollering at them non-stop until they got it fixed and I wouldn't owe them anything for the period that it was not available.  With that being the case, you do need to contact them and tell them that you don't expect to be charged for the time your service has been unavailable...

Thank you NALT. I did talk with them yesterday and they sent a Tech is what they called it out, and they sais he looked at it and said somebody stole a trunk line somewhere in the line. They don't know I did electrical work and was a contractor with my own business for a few years and there is no way to steal a trunk line. I just let it go, but they did say for me to call them when my cable came back on and they would take out all that money toward my cost. We got sold out to a new company our of Texas and they never done cable TV before and they are small. This happens quite often to this area. They told me yesterday they are small and don't have a 24 hr call in. I actually got really mean and wrote the Better business Bureau out of Birmingham about them. I hope they get it on soon but until then i will just keep up on the site here by your all. RTR!

Given that they told you "someone stole a trunk line" I would call them back and demand they fix the problem ASAP.  I would also tell them that "I will not be charged for the time my service is down" and not wait on them to remove the charge after it is billed.  Good luck my friend... Feel free to come over to my house to watch some of the games if you want...  ;)

Better yet call the Public Service Commission or get someone to do it for you and be sure to have all of your information, the amount of total outage with the dates involved, and you should get a quicker answer with your problem.
