They were talking him up during the preseason. He got reps this week with the first string and it helped him a lot this week. I don't know how long Dalton will be out but I don't see any drop off with AJ. Title: Re: AJ Makes First NFL Start Today vs. 49ers Post by: bamaphil on December 20, 2015, 10:22:03 PM I think Dalton will be back for the playoffs, but if AJ has a couple more good starts a team in need of a QB next year might be willing to trade for him. I'm biased of course, but I thought he was better than a fifth round pick when he entered the league. He may wow anyone with physical abilities, but he always found ways to win at Bama, and other than the late INT against A&M in '12 he never made bad decisions that cost the team a game.
