Title: Don't be surprised if Alabama's No. 1 in tonight's College Football Playoff rank

Quote
CHances are good that you didn't like it when Alabama debuted at No. 4 in the College Football Playoff committee's rankings. Despite having a loss, the Tide showed up ahead of eight unbeaten teams.
Not that anyone was surprised, as Nick Saban's team brushing off a loss like it's nothing has become an annual thing, Bama's beaten a bunch of pretty good teams, and The SEC Bias Conspiracy requires the committee to overrate SEC teams. The last one is a thing people shout about online, so it must be true.
But still. Bama again. Even some of us have had enough of the Bama.

I would be shocked if the committee puts Bama ahead of Clemson at this point. Bama's win over MSU was more impressive than Clemson's win at the Cuse, but not enough to justify putting a one loss team ahead of undefeated team that does have some impressive wins.

We're still #2.  Nobody else in top 5 changed either.

It wouldn't bother me at all if they put OSU ahead of us next week (assuming an OSU victory over MSU) to give our guys a little extra motivation going into barn week.

Yeah, we may even drop to 4th.  After all, we're playing two cupcakes: CSU and the Aubs!

Charleston Southern takes exception to that.  :lol2:

I would rather not be ranked # 1 so the guys will stay hungry instead of getting the big head…….BUT…….at some point I would like to see Bama # 1. If it happens it would continue the string of being ranked # 1 during a season for the 8th straight year.

There’s your Dynasty

Don't underestimate them.  They have one player who would probably be third string here at South Al.
