No doubt!! God forbid anyone state the obvious. We need to restrict such thinking, just like North Korea does. It works for them.

Cyrus you are a great player. You make mistakes just like the rest of us and it should not be on twitter. I apologize for that, but as a great player you will be scrutinized here and in the NFL. RTR!

I still think anyone who attacks our players on twitter or other media is not a Bama fan, period.

Thanks, Preacher.  Well said.

Define attack. You mean dropping a wide open pass as a WR & pointing it out? Doing a busted coverage and allowing a TD? Or do you mean character assassination, name-calling, or vile personal attacks? Just wondering.

 ???

Hey MD I use the word scrutinized and I meant his play. I do however think you should step back and see how you say something to one of the players. NO, don't mean you can't talk of his work, but do it with respect. RTR!

Based on the statements made in the tweets that were shown, there was nothing there for everyone to be offended at; they were actually quite civil compared to most and quite factual too for that matter.

That's what I read, too & that's why I am waiting for Chechem to define "attack". By the way, be careful or you'll be on the first flight to North Korea.

Personally, I don't have Twitter & don't get the purpose of it or what the big deal is. We all have cell phones, texting, & e-mail. How much communication do you need? Plus, if you don't like the tweets you receive, turn your account off.

 ???

:D,  :lol2:,, Agreed MD. I don't use it either. RTR!

Read the thread.  I was addressing the idiots who attacked Cyrus on Twitter.

First line of the article: "Cyrus Jones called out fans who attack him on Twitter."

I was agreeing with Cyrus.

The problem was with Cyrus, no one I saw was "attacking" him. They were pointing out mistakes he made and nothing vile was said from the samples I saw. I know Twitter can be vicious and very personal, but I didn't see anything myself. If someone has Twitter, ask Cyrus to define attack. Young folks are way too sensitive nowadays. He's getting them back the best way anyone can, by playing excellent football. Don't get mad, make them eat their words with your play. I still don't get Twitter & it's purpose.

By the way, did you see the BB game & what did you think?

Looks like all of those were directed at him during the A&M game.  A corner has one of the most difficult jobs in the game of football.  They must cover 1 on 1 and if they get beat it is out there for all to see.  Yes, he fumbled on a punt, but have you ever looked at how many yards he has saved Bama on punts.  Also, looks at the yards he has gained only to be lost by penalties by other players.  Cyrus, I think you are doing a hell of a job this year.  If you think back to the UG game, Mitchell had 2 catches in the first quarter then they put CJ on him and I think he had one more for the game.

Exactly! A shutdown corner is as valuable as a quality QB. Nowhere to hide if things go wrong in the secondary.

Cyrus knows his mistakes.  Coaches no doubt point them out.  I don't see anything constructive from a fan perspective to pile on.  But if it provides added motivation...
