Kiffin looks like he is having a blast.  He might surprise some folks and stick around for a little while, especially while USC is making up the difference in his pay.

Think about it.  He will make the same money as an HC somewhere as he makes right now, unless the HC gig pays him more than USC was paying him, which is probably unlikely.  So, he is having a blast here, soaking up all he can from CNS, not having to deal with the press, and not having to worry about anything except the offense (which he has a passion for).  Meanwhile he is making USC foot most of the bill for his education.  :lol2:

I'm wondering if Kiffin's USC buyout ends this year.  USC is a private University, so no public records about when his buyout ends.  Initially it was reported he signed a 5 year deal, which would have ended last year.  Possibly he signed a contract extension, as many coaches are apt to do if offered.  And Kiffin is rumored to have agreed to stay at UA at least two years, which ends this year.  You can bet he probably will leave when his USC buyout ends, but only Kiffin and USC knows when that ends for sure.  Saban likely knows as well.  Until then, you are correct, he has little financial incentive to leave.

Not sure if it covered the length of the USC buyout but his Alabama contract was for three years.

If he sticks around a third year, he will be working with a new OL coach. Pretty sure CMC will end up in Miami.
