Hollis Picks: Auburn wins shootout with Georgia; no letdown for Alabama
(http://media.al.com/alphotos/photo/2015/11/11/-e207bb5bf7d0f0db.JPG)What was especially surprising was Will Muschamp's defense in the 26-10 victory over Texas A&M. It was easily the Tigers' best effort. They held the Aggies to 10 points and 303 yards. They forced three interceptions, including two in the red zone, and stopped the Aggies four times when they crossed the 50-yard line.

Last year after beating LSU in overtime, the Crimson Tide found itself deep in the fourth quarter before putting away State. ...

WHAT??  As I recall, Alabama jumped all over (then #1) State, and led 19-3 at halftime.  In what was the most stupid coaching decision of the year, Mullins used a slow strategy and MSU ran out the clock on a long drive late to make it within 5 and just seconds to go!

 :dunno:

I guess, technically, Bama didn't "put away" State until it recovered the onsides kick.   ???  But it led the entire game.

I think that was Mullen's intention.  That stupid, long drive got them close enough at the end to claim they almost won.  I've heard this week that "Bama outscored them" last year, and "Bama held off State" last year.  Gimme a break.  They were #1, and we kicked their butts during the first half, then sat on the lead.

When we beat them 98 to nothing this year there will be no doubt.

Yeah, Arkansas "almost" beat Bama one year and Bama "slid by" them the next year.  Both years the score at the end of the game was 52-0 Bama...   ;)

According to my ciphering, that is 104 to nothing.  I will take it, even though it took us two games to do it.
