News of the day
The Duron Carter watch continued Thursday with no sign of the junior college wide receiver at preseason practice. The 6-foot-4, 210-pound Carter spent the 2010 season at Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College after he began his collegiate career in 2009 at Ohio State. Carter has three years to play two seasons once he arrives. Classes at Alabama began Wednesday, and the last day for enrollment is Aug. 31. Carter has been in town since the end of July, and his father, former NFL star and ESPN analyst Cris Carter, has been at several practices as well as ast Saturday's scrimmage. Duron Carter had 44 receptions for 690 yards and 10 touchdowns last year. Also no sign of Danny Woodson Jr., who would be a true freshman this fall.
