I assume it includes Bama.

Which means win out and Bama is in

And we can stop this endless speculation.

The states of Texas and Indiana are on fire at the moment.

I thought this might be the case.  I also would not have been surprised if Ohio State were left out.  Boy that would have been even funnier.

You knew OSU was going to get that former champion bump.

Funny enough to see Baylor, TCU and Stanford out looking in.   :-*

What do you think Saban thinks about BAMA being in the top 4?

Prolly doesn't even know. He's focused on processing LSU. (http://www.woollyal.com/core/images/smilies/saban.gif)

I was thinking does not care, hopes players also do not care.

I'm sure his players know.  But they might be hesitant to bring it up.   :lol2:

Hopefully this will light a fire under the team for this week.

I wouldn't want to be the person that would ask him right now how he felt about the rankings tonight. ;)

Might as well just ask him for a depth chart.  :lol2:

This has to say a lot for what Nick Saban and the Bama program represent in college football. We have all been very vocal about what would probably happen in the first poll but I don't think anyone on our forum thought that it would but wished it would. I agree with some of the posts on here, this has to light a fire under these guys.

I thought Bama would be around No. 6 with a chance to play their way in.   While I'm surprised to see Bama at No. 4, clearly the committee takes strength of schedule into account.  As everyone knows, this ranking is meaningless until after Saturday.

They were already talking about it tonight.   :lol2:

(ESPN has exclusive coverage, and schedules a discussion show to go with the release).

Here is a summary:

A lot of hand wringing about Baylor being left out, mostly by Finebaum.  Others added discussion about SOS.  (During which I pulled up Baylor's schedule, which includes no one.  They said it was bad, but I didn't know it was THAT easy.)

Some discussion of Memphis' chances.

Silly bowl projections.

Discussing Clemson as No. 1, including an interview with Dabo.

And of course whether a one-loss Bama deserves to be in the top 4, which led inevitably to discussions of Saturday's football game.  Herbstreit "applauded" the committee for taking SOS into consideration.

Just got home, saw the news and immediately went to CRS.  I knew you guys would be chiming in.

This is the best thing that has happened to me all day!!!

As for CNS...he's smart enough to know the players know about this, and my guess is he'll use to as motivation, i.e. "all our goals are in our grasp but not if we get beaten by LSU, so keep the focus there."

And I still want some of those undefeated teams to loose!

"Them rankings mean nothing till December," said Joshua Frazier. "We aren't in anything. We got tons of games left. Don't talk to me about rankings!!!

Joshua Frazier has it right, it don't mean nothing unless we are that one bowl in January. "I will say these guys deserve to be where they are but" losing focus can take it away so fast. I noticed one article on espn it said the players were jumping around, and I hope that doesn't get to happy. RTR!
