Pretty slow week.  Everyone is off for Halloween apparently.  I might be as well, now that it's dark.  But it's pouring rain, might stay home.

Here are the games tonight:

Notre Dame v. Temple, ABC 7 pm
World Series FOX 7 pm.
Michigan v. Minnesota, ESPN on now
Miami v Duke ESPNU on now
Vandy v. Houston, ESPN2 on now
Texas v Iowa State FS1 on now
Tennessee v Kentucky SEC 6:30 pm
Stanford v Washington State, ESPN 9:30 pm
Alabama A&M v. Alabama State, 9:30 pm ESPNU
Arizona v Washington, FS1 10 pm.

TN v. KY about to kick off.

I went back and forth on this game.  TN is a much better team and should win by double digits, but KY is at home, and you have to wonder about the Bama hangover factor.

I decided to stick with TN.  They've bounced back well from other losses this season.

TN has a nice drive then QB has ball swatted out of his hands, KY 300+ lb. defensive lineman runs it back 82 yards for a TD.

It took the entire 1st quarter for that guy to run it 82 yards!!

ND v Temple about to kick off, once they get done with all the hoopla.  And it's a lot of hoopla for such a garbage game. 

ND QB scored, then did his 'wing flapping' dance.  NO FLAG THROWN.

WTH??  We get a penalty if our players wave to their friends in the crowd!!

Short lived, ND scores a 79 yard TD on a QB keeper.

Tennessee has taken over the game, 38-14.

Minnesota leading Michigan in the Fourth Quarter, 26-21, with ten minutes left.

ND 14 Temple 10 @ Half

Mich scores a TD to take the lead, going for 2  to make it 3 point lead.

Iowa State drills Texas, 24-0.   :lol2:

Minnesota trying to win one for Coach Kill. Just got down to 1/2 yard line, 19 secs left. No score & very strange play call by Minnesota. Gophers choke game away & lose 29-26. What a total screw up by the coach.

Dumb.  19 seconds left, first and goal, and Minnesota spends more than 10 seconds shifting in the backfield before the snap.   :facepalm:

By the time the play was over, they were down to 2 seconds.  They could have ran 3-4 plays in 19 seconds -- they even had a time out left.   :facepalm:

With the final 2 seconds, Minnesota could have admitted their screw up, kicked a FG and sent the game into OT.  Instead they try a QB sneak which doesn't work, and time expires.   :facepalm:

Duke took the lead and squib kicked it with a few seconds left.  Miami ran the multiple lateral play, and after about 20 laterals they got a guy free with blockers in front, ran for a TD and won the game.

Temple just tied Notre Dame 17-17 with ten minutes left.

The officials are the ones that scare me the most when Bama is playing, not the team they are playing. ;)

Cutcliffe was pizzed after the refs blew the calls on the final play.  Here are some quotes:

What amazes me the most is you have officials sitting in a press box with the highest degree of technology in the review equipment and still can't get the calls right. maybe the officials feel they are smarter than the review equipment and don't want to believe what they see. There is an old saying, "you don't believe anything that you hear and only half of what you see."

The commentators are all over this call.  Not only on the knee down, but on reviewing and reversing a block in the back call that was clearly correct.

All I heard today by the talking heads was that they didn't give Temple enough credit, that Temple has a great team that nearly knocked off Notre Dame.

My take:  Notre Dame is even worse than I thought and almost lost to Temple!  :facepalm:

This does not bode well for Dabo and his boys.

I agree, and Clemson will have their hands full with FSU, in spite of what their homers think.
