The 5'11" 225-pound bruiser has a rare combination of power and speed.  Richardson's a fantastic natural athlete, but he has an extremely intense training program.  When he arrived on campus as a freshman, Richardson could already squat 600 pounds and coaches have had to limit how much weight the young running back lifts.

But Richardson isn't just a power back.  He also runs a 4.4 40-yard dash and has great breakaway speed.  Not since Adrian Peterson was drafted with the seventh pick in the 2007 NFL draft has a back demonstrated this unique skill set.

Spot-on analysis.  Quickness is probably the one area that Ingram had over Trent.  But Trent Richardson is just now coming into his own.   #+

According to practice reports he is going full speed everyday. If the hamstring was cause for concern you would think the coaching staff would be giving him plenty of rest and time to heal up before the season starts. There is no doubt we need BATR healthy.

How good is he, I absolutely think he is Heisman good this year and next IF he stays but I will not hold my breath on that one! RTR!

Richardson practices like he plays, on more than one occasion in the scrimmage last Saturday, there were 3-5 tacklers on him and they could hardly get him down.

Jamos, did you see any sign that the hamstring is bothering him? Other than being taped.

Sorry if I didn't post everything that I saw but we were asked to not start any internet rumors about what we saw out there or they would stop us from coming to these events. I tried to write it to where you might could read between the lines a little and get the answers you were looking for.

Well what ever you do, only post things that are acceptable to UA.  If someone asks you to elaborate on something that you think should stay confidential, please just tell us.  Of course we want to know as much as possible, but the last thing we want is for them to stop letting you come and watch.

By the way, how does someone go about getting on the list to watch when the practice is closed to the media and the public?  Or is that confidential too?

I am not a member. I have an uncle who is a member. They have locations around the state. He is active in the Pell City/Logan Martin Lake club. Sorry about the link I was trying to help. I looked at it quickly and thought you could register and access the site. I just looked again and I could not figure out how to register either. I'm sure Jamos can get you information. From what I understand it would be a good club to join if you have one in your area.

Yep, thanks pmull.  I had always thought the REC was a figment of the barners imagination until Jamos mentioned it the other day.

I had heard about REC for years. I wasn't sure it was real or not. I am glad it is. I hope it bothers the boogs.

Yes the REC is real and there are various clubs in Alabama and other States. Our dues are $300 a year and this money is donated to the scholarship program at the U of A. Only members can attend the meetings. We have monthly meetings with a guest speaker each meeting. The meeting in Tuscaloosa starts at 6 pm but the doors open at 5:15 pm with an open bar. We have a meal at each meeting with Cyprus Inn catering the food. The meetings are usually over before 8:00 pm.
