Title: Alabama Softball Sweeps Shorter to Close Fall Season
Post by: Jamos on October 25, 2015, 09:34:14 PM
We had great support from our fans over the past three weekends and today might be one of our biggest crowds ever for fall ball,” UA head coach Patrick Murphy said. “Sydney Littlejohn did a good job today in both games. She pitched a really good one in the first game and then kept us in the game during the second.”

Mrs. J and I went out and watched the ladies this afternoon and had a great afternoon. It was good to see some of the Alumni to come back for a visit. I also got a chance to meet 3 new players that have committed already and 3 players that were here on a visit. They seemed to be having a lot of fun and were really impressed with the freshmen of this years team. I reminded them that you don't have to be at Bama for 2-3 years before you get your chance to play for here, so come ready to play.

The girls are banged up a little after the Fall games and need some time to heal up and work on their weak areas. I mentioned in a previous post that Freshman pitcher Madi Moore seemed to need lots of work before she is ready for the SEC but she looked a little better today. I understand that the coaches are pretty much revising all of her pitching technique and she is really buying in to what they are trying to teach her. She's got 4 months to work on this and I think she will be ready come Spring.

Thanks for the info, J. Looks like the gals may have another banner year. Murphy just keeps reeling them in.
