Title: ***THURSDAY NIGHT GAMES***
Post by: Catch Prothro on October 22, 2015, 07:52:38 AM
Picking PAC12 games is not easy for me.  I'm 1-5 in those conference games.  And I have no idea, no gut feeling, for that conference.  Many of my picks not only miss, but they miss big, with the winner beating the line by more than two scores, even when an underdog.

Tonight is no exception.  I don't usually watch those games; I just take my licks.  But tonight I'll probably be watching.

By the way, at the moment I have California.  It's not a guy feeling; I switched my pick for this game, relying on some talking head whose overall record is 50/50.  Like a blind squirrel, I'm just hoping to find some stray acorn.

That makes me feel better, CP. I picked UCLA.  :lol2:

Yes, and unfortunately, the Thursday night pick-against-2 plan is not working this year.   :lol2:

I get burned every time I pick UCLA but I can't help myself & picked them to win. If I get burned again, I won't be picking them anymore. I quit picking Miami, Tennessee, & Oregon for the same reason.

Cal v. UCLA is at 8 pm CST.

Early game  is Temple v. E. Carolina, with Temple hoping to remain undefeated.  (Biggest win was Penn State).  Tough to play on a Thursday night at East Carolina.  Temple and E. Carolina are in the Eastern Division of the AAC.

Other teams in this conference are Memphis and Houston, both undefeated in the Western Division.  Memphis' biggest win this season is Ole Miss, Houston beat Louisville.

NFL game is Seahawks v 49ers at 7:25 CST.

Anybody else think that ECU's QB looked like Coker when he took his helmet off near the end of the half?

I can't believe $cam beat the Seahawks and are 5-0. I had a chance to go to the Panthers-Eagles game this Sunday in Charlotte. I told the guy that would be like watching bleeding hemorrhoids going up against festering open sores.

17-0 Seahawks over 49ers. Forty-niners are flat, I've seen more life in a casket.
UCLA 17  Cal 3

I'm glad UCLA was so inspired by my threat to quit picking them in games that they hammered Cal. I take full credit for motivating them to play so well.
