Go to Bristol this coming weekend. Fastest 1/2 Mile Track in the World. Best Saturday night race of the year. They run 15 second laps. Highest banking. Thunder Valley. Loud loud.

Bristol seats 160,000. Looks like modern day larger version of the Roman coliseum.

Atlanta. Labor Day weekend they race 30 miles south of Atlanta in Griffin? Georgia. They added lights several years back. Fastest race of the season. Faster than Talladega and Daytona. 1 1/2 miles tri-oval.

I have never been to Richmond. 3/4 mile tri-oval shaped track. It is another Saturday night race on Sept. 9th I think. Last couple of drivers will be trying to finish in top 12 to qualify for the Chase for the Cup which starts a week later.

I forgot to say that David Ragan's parents go to the races. They are special people. Davids older brother is his biggest fan. He has down syndrome. He was interviewed after Ragan won the Coke-Cola 400 in July's Daytona race. You could tell how much that win ment to him.

Ragan drives for Rouse-Fenway Racing ( same people that own the Boston Red Sox ) is my favorite racing team. Matt Kenseth is my favorite driver. He is ranked 5th in points and Edwards is 1 point ahead in 4th.

Check the weather before you plan to go.  Irene approaches.

Probably the smartest post ever!

Im thinking of three:

Already going to Bristol.  Wouldnt go to Richmond Race, have tickets for me and 5 other friends.  They are, all but 1, flying in from bama.  We are camping in the RV thurs, fri, and saturday night.  Atlanta is one I would love but I cant go because I am one of the coordinators for our stupid airshow that day.

1) Talladega.  You really cant see crap there anyways.  So you might as well sit on a pit box.  Regan is a strong restrictor plate racer so I have a good chance of seeing him win.  The race is a sunday so I will be able to fly home and see the Ucheat game on saturday.

2) Texas Race:  Would love to go see old friends and Roush cars are good at mile 1/2 tracks.  The problem is...I have tickets to the SFO-Redskins game that day.  I have been looking forward to this game forever.  Huger niner game and it will be my first.  My season tickets are on the 45 yard line.

3) Chicago:  I have never been there and I have plenty of friends whom I would like to see.  Should be a pretty interesting race.

Overall I have a really good problem to worry about.

Make the sure you don't sit on D.E. Jr. box. He has lost his nerve and don't have the driving skills anymore. RTR!
