Georgia O-line has blocked some D-lineman from schools who don't play SEC type football. Vandy would be a school you have come to mind that a Nick Chubb or Fournette would get a 100 yards against in the 1st Qtr. You had Southern last week who Chubb was great against but if you watched the game when he got to the end the DB's who were ahead of him couldn't catch him. This is like giving the DB a head start and they still couldn't cut the corner on him.
When he meets Alabama first of all, he has to get passed the front 7 of D-line and LB's. I am not sure how fast Reggie is or Reuben, but I do not when they hit him for a tackle, he is going back to the huddle shaking his head a bit. It is hard to get a 100 yards if the Defense hits you so hard you do not want to run that way again. Our DB's may not be the best coverage folks in the West of the SEC but they can run and I don't know of anybody that can flat out run them for big yardage if they want to catch him. So I think your idea of he is going to get a 100 yards is somewhat premature big time. My prediction 99 yards or less. We shall see. RTR! McShay and Trevor Matich both picked Bama to win on College Football Live today.

(College football live). He said it is a good matchup for Bama, and that our front 7 would keep Chubb from reaching the 100 yard mark, thus ending his streak. Bama's stout run defense would require Lambert to carry the offense, a role Matich didn't think he was ready for, despite his numbers against weaker competition.:popcorn2: Title: Re: "What we'll see in the SEC: Nick Chubb gets 100 yards on Alabama" Post by: N.AL-Tider on September 30, 2015, 06:44:01 PM Ya know what? I don't care if he does get 100 yards rushing against us as long as he doesn't cross the goal line.
Here's the way I see this game going...UGA really hasn't played anyone that is all that good so Chubby has been able to run wild. Bama has played a pretty good running team in Wisconsin and we basically shut them down. I see this game going the same way as our game against Wisconsin did in that we shut down their running game and force them to have to throw. Our DB's have gotten better, believe it or not, and I really don't think UGA's qb is all that good throwing the ball yet, or maybe it is his receivers that aren't that good yet, not sure... Have no fear though, we got this... 8) Title: Re: "What we'll see in the SEC: Nick Chubb gets 100 yards on Alabama" Post by: Catch Prothro on September 30, 2015, 06:57:22 PM Prepare for total twitter meltdown when Bama beats Georgia.
