Title: Will Bo Scarbrough have an impact Saturday?
Post by: Jamos on September 28, 2015, 03:46:54 PM
Well he's healed and out of the CNS doghouse so what's next?

He's big, fast, and has good hands so just maybe we might see something we've been waiting on all year, a spark to light up the offense. I don't know how much CNS will use him but I hope he can pop a good play right off the bat to build his confidence.

1)  Can he catch a kick?
2)  Is he prone to fumble?

He did well in high school but this is college, so? :dunno: I've got my fingers crossed that he takes up where he left off in high school and with a big bang.

I hope he is going to break out and be that next big time RB with Harris. RTR!

We need another playmaker on offense. Bo sounds like he has the potential to be one. I'd love to see him get some playing time to see what he can do.

Once we're up 24-0, you'll see him AMOKING.

Amoking could lead to a 24-0 score.

, I don't think it matters how fast you are. It just matters if you can keep up with the guy our covering. RTR!

That's true, Preacher.  I remember a coach telling me once, "Our LBs are as fast as any in the SEC, but all they do is leave their assignment faster than any others."

It would be cool if all this time they have been working on 4 - 5 plays with Bo in there with DH and/or Drake.  Have all three of them on the field at the same time.  Would give GA's D something to think about.

Unless Bo can block, don't expect to see him in the backfield with anyone else.
More likely we'll see him at H-back.

Well, if this picture is accurate and hasn't been photoshopped, I'd say they could put him anywhere on either side of the LOS and he will have a positive impact...

Probably not, LK is to infatuated with KD, I'd like to see Damien Harris get some carries behind the first string O-line.

Thanks for posting that pic as an image as opposed to an attachment like I did...

There is no way that Bo weighs in at 240 pounds.  His arms alone have to weigh 40 pounds apiece...  :o

Y'all do realize that the other player in uniform is D.J. Pettway, Defensive Lineman that is 6'-2" and weighs about 280, right?

Sadly, it may give our QB more to think about than he can process in a timely manner.

As long as the Oline doesn't false start, I think they would just need to move outta their way...

I think you would need a crow bar to pry the ball away from this guy.  And you have to use the crow bar correctly, hit him over the head with it.  It won't work if you wedge it under his arm.

If he performs ball security by squeezing the ball hard, he may be accused of pulling a Tom Brady. I can pretty much guarantee that the air pressure in the ball will be considerably less.

Okay, serious.

Coach Saban has tempered the enthusiasm by saying it'll take time:

Quote
Prior to practice Monday, Saban said, “Bo is ready to play. He's been practicing, been cleared medically, his suspension is over. And we'll work hard to try to create a role for him.”

...

It may take some time to get him back in the groove of things but that's certainly the plan,” Saban said.
