Good morning all,

I was just reading Facebook and came across a post by Kerry.  He has been diagnosed with ALS. Here is a small excerpt of his post on FB. My heart breaks for this kind, generous man and his family:

A little over a year ago I start to experiencing unexplained muscle spasms and twitches. After multiple trips to every branch of medicine possible and extreme weight loss finally came the answer. I was recently diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as “Lou Gehrig’s disease
ALS, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease without any effective treatments or a cure. Most people living with ALS only survive two to five years following diagnosis. I’ve always prided myself with beating the odds. An estimated 30,000 people in the US are living with ALS today.

Please keep my family lifted in prayer and know that I’ll be okay. It’s very hard to watch someone going through something and there’s nothing you can do to help. 3 years ago I sat on the sideline watching Clyde (CG3) battle Leukemia and there wasn’t anything I could do to help him. So please, keep them lifted. "

Father in Heaven we come knowing you know your children and their requests. Today Lord we bring forth the petition on behalf of a child of yours and brother of ours. ALS is brought on by satan but it can be healed by you. Man says there is no cure but I say there is, through you and through prayer. You if any be sick let him call upon the elders and by the laying on of hands pray one for another. Lord we pray that Kerry will be healed according to your WILL. Give him the strength to battle and overcome the pain by your guidance. We pray for the doctors and nurses who will be handling this disease on behalf of Kerry. We pray your Blessing on each medicine that will enter his body and that it will lead to a greater founding of what will even work for others. Lord we pray your Blessings upon the family as they go through these days with him. They will turn to you for the answers that man does not and will not have at any time. This prayer we pray and ask in the name of the son of the living GOD JESUS. AMEN and AMEN!

Today Jesus our Saviour I rise and as you know I someone on my mind and only you can assure completion of my hopes and dreams. Lord Bless this day our brother and friend. Take him and family by the hand and walk them step by step deed by deed and word by word as they go on this journey. We do not what is in store but we know the hand that holds the store. It is with such hope that we can live knowing Kerry lives because of goodness and Grace. In the name of JESUS we pray and ask. AMEN and AMEN

Hey Sc have you heard from Brother Kerry lately? We pray for him everyday and Mrs 2. We want all our friends and brothers/sisters in the Alabama family to be healed of course. Amen!
