Alabama practice report: Kenyan Drake moving positions again
(http://media.al.com/alphotos/photo/2015/08/12/-a198b1de6c25b643.JPG)Kenyan Drake, one of Alabama's most talented offensive stars, wasn't working with the running backs on Wednesday.

Kenyan Drake, who suffered a broken leg against Ole Miss last season, received a good amount of work with the receivers during drills on Wednesday. The talented athlete should get reps at both running back and in the slot this season for the Tide. During Wednesday's practice, Drake broke away from the rest of the running backs to work on intermediate to longer routes with the quarterbacks. Not surprisingly, Drake looked natural doing so.

They need to utilize him early and often, in as many roles as they can.  :popcorn2:

I wonder if he can throw the ball too?

If he could throw to himself, then we'd really have something!

Remember the first offensive play of the game against Florida. KD lined up at RB and shifted to the slot creating a mismatch since he was covered by a LB. Result: 80 yd TD and he was open by 20 yds. I give Kiffin credit for knowing what the defense was going to do and taking advantage of it.

Kiffin offense = creating mismatches and getting the ball to your playmakers.

On this one I am kind of like CNS said about Calvin Ridley. We can't put the whole game on KD's back and expect to win he can be moved around and that is good. He needs to be used as a drawing point most of the time though. I really am open to hear what others think on this idea. RTR!

Just hope he can hold on to the ball better than he has in the past.

-- Kenyan Drake was still off to the side watching with a hamstring injury. It was his third practice without action during the media viewing period.

This worries me about KD because I know timing is going to be off without reps. I hope he can heal quickly and the other bumps and bruises are kind of worrisome because they need the practice time to hone in the sharpness. JMHO. RTR!
