I would have to agree with this, I did the same thing.

they  wouldn't release the severity of the injury until just then hence the title
there is 4 or five pages on dropping and 3 on another Bama site and others

Well you know the Hog Fans have to be heart broken. This is going to slow down their rushing attack big time and in second thought it will slow their passing game some also. RTR!

RBs on crutches are generally less effective than the regular kind. Also hard to run routes and catch passes while on crutches. Maybe they should just punt on 1st down?  Hope this helps our friends from arkansas.

I glad we play them early while he is still on crutches. He will be in a walking boot by the time they play LSU.

This will have a MAJOR impact on their running game & passing game. Now, they have to start from scratch with a new #1 RB. Not easy replacing a back with over 1300 yards rushing. The Hogs will lose at least 2 games due to this injury.

Well, I really hate it for them.  I always want to beat a team with their best players eligible players on the field.

I am not nearly as concerned about them coming in to Tuscaloosa now.

Built in excuse for Arky. Except you can't use the injury asterisk as much when you start the season with guys out. I mean, if a RB gets hurt during the season averaging 100ypg for five games it is evident that injurys got you. But if he is hurt before the season, you just did not recruit for depth.

In Arky's defense, they did recruit for depth.  They just didn't have the funds to compete with the barn.

I wouldn't count the Hogs out just yet, Petrino is sitting over there in his little ole world nice and quite and who knows what he might have.

I heard on ESPN radio today that they are comfortable with their depth at RB.
