Coach Johnson understands something Grant never "got." You must have strong guard play to win.

I think this season will be about building but also we will be winning some games too. I like the looks about 3 years down the road also. RTR!

Good 'get' by CAJ.  Even with a late start he's putting together a pretty good group of signees.

But he missed on this one:

Guess that fence CAG's building around the state of AL isn't finished yet.

I'm anxious to see if our 2 big men, Taylor and Kessens, can be coached up. CAG got very little out of them but just maybe some good coaching and a change in their style of play can bring out some better play from them. Also, I'm anxious to see if Hale can heal up and become a player again. CAJ may be the best thing that could happen for Riley Norris, lots of potential in this guy just need someone to develop him.

247 Sports has him listed as a small forward. He was a Baylor commit at one time. We got him over Kansas and Oregon.

Quote
A one-time Baylor commit, Eubanks de-committed from the Bears back in November. He chose the Crimson Tide over Kansas and Oregon. He will enroll in July.

Standing at 6-foot-5, 212 pounds, Eubanks is rated the No. 15 small forward and the No. 91 overall player in the country per the 247Sports Composite rankings. He was trending to Alabama at 88 percent on the 247Sports Crystal Ball.

Looks like Johnson is building a solid foundation.  I wish we didn't have to wait five more months to see the team in action.

When CAJ was hired did we also hire a new S&C coach?  I just wonder if conditioning might have played a part in why Bama never could seem to improve much?  Might also explain some of the "nagging" injuries to some of our players too...Something that a good S&C coach could possibly do something about...

I just wondered if Coach Cochran was the only S&C or if we have one for different sports? RTR!

He's one of the best in the business but has his hands full with football.  Although similar, different football positions have different S&C needs.  And other sports are entirely different, with the "C" being a huge component in basketball.

You are right CP in that each sport has it's own S&C coach. Lou Deneen is the S7C coach for the basketball team. He was hired by CAG and retained by CAJ. He must have some good credentials because Trevor Releford was in town recently to help CAJ with his basketball camp and to get some rehab from Coach Deneen. I'm like some of you though in thinking why the basketball team has so many injuries.

Head strength and conditioning coach Lou DeNeen enters his second season at Alabama. DeNeen came to the Capstone with nearly 30 years of experience in the profession. Prior to coming to Alabama, DeNeen spent six years at UAB (2007-13), following successful stints at Florida International (1991-94, 1997-2007) and California (1994-97).

He contracted it out to Lance Thompson
