I hope and expect the SEC teams to do very well.

FYI: Bama was 2-11 against the four SEC teams that made it to Omaha.

Virginia beats Arkansas 5-3. Florida plays Miami at 7:00. Not the start I wanted for the SEC.

UF stomping Miami 12-2 in the 5th.

UF beats the poo poo out of Miami 15-3.

TCU vs LSU at 2:00 today.

 Cal St Fullerton vs Vandy at 7:00 tonight.

TCU beats LSU 10-3. TCU only out hit LSU by 1 hit 9-8 but LSU committed 4 costly errors.

TCU is a solid team.

Vandy and Fullerton coming up next.

I would have never thought that LSU would have had their azz handed to them by TCU.  :-\

Fullerton is winning 3-0 when play is suspended in the bottom of the 6th. Vandy has a runner on 2nd with 1 out. I assume the game will be completed today.

The power of the SEC is missing early in this CWS.

They resume at 11 AM. The SEC needs to step it up.

Wow. That's beyond bad. So does the head coach get a 7th year to underperform?

Hmmm..... they must have changed it. When I did a search this morning, it said 11 AM. The weather may be responsible for the change. I see they have rain in the area.

Got back to the cabin from morning fishing only for the bottom of the 9th, and saw Vandy get a walkoff homer to win!

Vandy came back to win 4-3. they saved a little of the SEC's pride. In the 1st round the SEC went 2-2.

WOOOT!!! Nice job, Vandy! Arky is playing Miami in the loser's bracket. No score in the 3rd inning.

Yep, I was coming out of the National Forest & heard Finebaum play the announcers call on the homerun.

Miami hit a 2 run homer in the bottom of the 5th to take a 2-0 lead.

Arky has rallied to tie Miami. It's 3-3 in the 8th. Arky had a chance to take the lead with runners on first and 3rd with nobody out. A pop out and a DP ended the threat.

Arky left the bases loaded, once again, in the 9th and Miami made them pay for it with a walk-off single in the bottom half, for the win. Miami wins 4-3 and eliminates Arky.

Crap, I forgot about the game. Sounded like a good game.

Arkansas outplayed them, for the most part. Miami's Jacob Heyward, the brother of Justin Heyward, accounted for all 4 of their runs.

I just watched the replay of the late game; Florida lost 1-0 to Virginia.

Vandy and TCU are locked up in another thriller, no score in the third.

LSU beat Cal State Fullerton today to send them home. I think they will play the loser of Vandy and TCU tomorrow.

Vandy beats TCU 1-0 to stay unbeaten. TCU will play LSU in an elimination game on Thursday night. Vandy will get several days rest.

Florida plays Miami in an elimination game tonight. Virginia is the unbeaten team on that side of the bracket.

I am not surprised by Vandy's performance.  I was at the game when they bludgeoned Bama in the SEC tournament.  They have a really good team.

Vandy is 2-0 but they have struggled to win both games. They beat Fullerton with a walk off HR to win 4-3. They trailed all game. They got 3 runs in the bottom of the 9th including the 2 run walk off HR. They beat TCU 1-0 but they only had 3 hits in the game.

Vandy is very lucky to be in the position they are in.

Luck counts in baseball and hand grenades. lol, RTR!

The SEC's highest seeded team #2 LSU loses to TCU 8-4. LSU eliminated.

Only 4 teams remain. Vandy and Florida are alive and in separate brackets. We could have an all SEC final.

I think Virginia is gonna be really tough to beat though...and they have to lose two times...

UF beats Virginia 10-5 to stay alive. Virginia has over achieved to make it this far. I like UF in the winner take all game to see who advances to the finals.

Vandy has put two across in the bottom of the third to take a 3-0 lead with no outs.  TCU changing pitchers...

Did any of you see the Vanderbilt batter get hit in the throat by a pitch on an attempted bunt? I was amazed he wasn't hurt very seriously. Since he got hit though, he has gotten a single and home run, amazing. #+

Vandy gave up 1 run in the top of the 7th, now going to bottom of the 7th up 7-1.   #+

Vandy beat TCU 7-1. TCU is eliminated. Vandy advances to the finals that starts on Monday night. Vandy will play the winner of tonight Florida vs Virginia game.

It would be a great thing if it is all SEC World Series. RTR!

I would love an all SEC final.

I always pull for the SEC in post season play as long as the barn is sitting at home.

Virginia beat Florida 5-4. Florida eliminated. Virginia advances to the finals to play Vandy.

Both of these teams are well coached and have very good players, this should be a good finish for college baseball this year. #+

Virginia looks like a very good team in the NCAA Tournament and CWS but they did not have an outstanding regular season. They were 15-15 in the ACC and a #3 seed in the NCAA and was shipped to the West Coast.

Vandy & Virginia played for the CWS Championship last year. That makes this year's match-up even more compelling. Go 'Dores.

Carson Fulmer pitched 7 2/3 innings of shutout ball, last night, as Vandy took game one, 5-1.

They're well on their way to back-to-back Natties.

Yes, but Vandy is a Hammer Down club in baseball. I say with the high scores it takes to get in school up there somebody does some smart recruiting. RTR!
