He has seen all this go on before his very eyes. I hope they throw him off the team. He does not deserve to wear the Crimson if he is guilty of this knowing what happens. Gosh, college football is turning into a bunch of thugs. What is next, beat up the teachers if they get a bad grade? I am sadden that a player who seem to have a bright future might be lucky if he makes a way to sign as a free agent. The NFL is now looking at character a little closer. Man, I hate this. RTR!

Ruth Nathalie Perkins has been charged after allegedly attacking Elvira Tomlin as she taught about 20 students after hours at Dr. Phillips High School in Orlando, Florida on Thursday.


Perkins stormed into the portable classroom and began cursing at Tomlin in Spanish, even threatening to murder her, according to the arrest affidavit.

When Tomlin tried to call for help, Perkins allegedly knocked her phone off the desk and slapped her cell phone out of her hand.

Perkins then knocked Tomlin's glasses off her face and pushed her against a wall, scratching her face as Tomlin tried to push her away.

Perkins was allegedly furious at the grades Tomlin had given her daughter.

Alabama senior cornerback Cyrus Jones was arrested late Tuesday night and charged with third-degree domestic violence criminal mischief and third-degree domestic violence harassment, according to police records.

Police determined that Jones took and damaged the 22-year old victim's cell phone and threatened to assault her, according to a release from the Tuscaloosa Police Department.

"We don't ever condone any behavior that shows any kind of disrespect," coach Nick Saban said in a statement. "There was no physical contact in this situation. Once we get the facts, we will take the necessary steps to correct this behavior in the future."

So what happened?  He got in an argument with a girl, took and damaged (?) her cell phone, and said something threatening?   ???

Not sure why all the charges if that is the case, except it's Tuscaloosa.   :-\

Domestic violence in the third degree. Third-degree domestic violence occurs where the defendant commits the crimes of third-degree assault, menacing, reckless endangerment, criminal coercion, harassment, criminal surveillance, harassing communications, third-degree criminal trespass, second- or third-degree criminal mischief, or third-degree arson.

ALA CODE § 13A-11-8 : Alabama Code - Section 13A-11-8: HARASSMENT OR HARASSING COMMUNICATIONS -

(a)(1) HARASSMENT. A person commits the crime of harassment if, with intent to harass, annoy, or alarm another person, he or she either:
a. Strikes, shoves, kicks, or otherwise touches a person or subjects him or her to physical contact.
b. Directs abusive or obscene language or makes an obscene gesture towards another person.
(2) For purposes of this section, harassment shall include a threat, verbal or nonverbal, made with the intent to carry out the threat, that would cause a reasonable person who is the target of the threat to fear for his or her safety.
(3) Harassment is a Class C misdemeanor.

ALA CODE § 13A-7-23 : Alabama Code - Section 13A-7-23: CRIMINAL MISCHIEF IN THE THIRD DEGREE -

(a) A person commits the crime of criminal mischief in the third degree if, with intent to damage property, and having no right to do so or any reasonable ground to believe that he or she has such a right, he or she inflicts damages to property in an amount not exceeding five hundred dollars ($500).
(b) Criminal mischief in the third degree is a Class B misdemeanor.

If I were Saban I would have the dietician put the players on a daily dosage of saltpeter until they have finished their careers at Bama. The players definitley need to find a way to stay away from women.
