That list just reminds me that we haven't had a star QB in forever.

I think Hollingsworth had broken a leg in off season and came back for a great senior year. Does anyone remember? 8) Title: Re: BR: Top 10 Alabama Quarterback Seasons Since 1980 Post by: SUPERCOACH on August 04, 2011, 08:23:34 PM So why haven't we had a star QB since forever? I can't quite figure that out. My theory is that we don't normally ask the QB to do a whole lot. We win with solid D and a basic smash mouth, ram it down your throat offense. Star QBs these days want to throw the ball on every play and be the center of attention. That just doesn't happen at Bama so they go to other places where they can get their chance. They want to showcase their skills in the hopes of making it to the NFL, which is perfectly understandable. You may be on to something there if he was coming off a broken leg, but he also switched from a Homer Smith offense to a conservative Stallings/Moore offense.
