Title: Auburn ready to shock the world ... again. Really? Post by: Coach Hank Crisp on August 03, 2011, 11:18:12 AM link (http://espn.go.com/blog/sec/post/_/id/25446/auburn-ready-to-shock-the-world-again)
Keep in mind that no defending national champion has ever won fewer than eight games since the origin of the BCS in 1998, so forgive the Tigers if they feel slapped in the face any time they get wind of such modest expectations. 8) Title: Re: Auburn ready to shock the world ... again. Post by: bamalum67 on August 03, 2011, 01:42:14 PM I'd like to see em go 0-11......for the next 15 yrs.
Title: Re: Auburn ready to shock the world ... again. Really? Post by: Marshal Dillon on August 03, 2011, 01:51:35 PM Right, they lost 16 starters including their QB and all their defensive playmakers. Sounds like the makng of an SEC title team to me.
Title: Re: Auburn ready to shock the world ... again. Really? Post by: pmull on August 03, 2011, 02:04:56 PM Look how much trouble we are having replacing one Off Line Left Tackle position. They have to replace 16 starters, 4 of those are on the Off Line. New QB, new Off Line, 16 new starters, in the SEC. It is going to be a long year for the boogers.
Title: Re: Auburn ready to shock the world ... again. Really? Post by: Hannibal Lecter, MD on August 03, 2011, 03:28:36 PM I'd certainly be shocked if they win 9 games. I'd be surprised with 8.
Title: Re: Auburn ready to shock the world ... again. Really? Post by: Coach Hank Crisp on August 03, 2011, 04:05:06 PM I see black bears? and the boogs fighting it out for 5th in the west.
8) Title: Re: Auburn ready to shock the world ... again. Really? Post by: ricky023 on August 03, 2011, 04:14:00 PM Well I ain't worried about those guys. I think there is some payback that needs to be made. RTR!
Title: Re: Auburn ready to shock the world ... again. Really? Post by: Coach Hank Crisp on August 03, 2011, 04:19:16 PM We will have the boogs right where we want them. 5-7. 5 returining starters. No bowl. No Hope and No Change.
8) Title: Re: Auburn ready to shock the world ... again. Really? Post by: BAMAWV on August 03, 2011, 04:35:38 PM Contrast the barn's outlook for defending to that of the 2010 Tide being preseason #1 thru the first 5 or 6 games of that season. Hard to argue that the barn NC was anything but a fluke, while Bama is building a dynasty.
Title: Re: Auburn ready to shock the world ... again. Really? Post by: pmull on August 04, 2011, 03:55:57 PM I just read where the barn dismissed a reserve DL for team violations. That leaves them with 72 players on scholarship. That is 13 under the limit of 85. 45 are freshmen, redshirt freshmen or sophomores. The barn is in for a long year.

From first to worst in the west. 8) Title: Re: Auburn ready to shock the world ... again. Really? Its going to get positively gouged this year. Title: Re: Auburn ready to shock the world ... again. Really? Post by: XBAMA on August 04, 2011, 04:18:07 PM I hope they suck so bad that their practices show up as a loss at the end of the year .... :P

But Chiznik is the next Bear Bryant so he can have 10 freshmen starters and still win the NC and even beat the Steelers, Packers, Bears, & Patriots if necessary. It must be nice to have such a great and proven coach. :what: Title: Re: Auburn ready to shock the world ... again. Really? Title: Re: Auburn ready to shock the world ... again. Really? Post by: Coach Hank Crisp on August 04, 2011, 07:37:23 PM If they win 50% of their games, I'll be shocked :) Hard to say how many they will win. 7-8 wins? BCS momentum could carry them for a few wins. 6-6 maybe their best record because of their youth and inexperience. Maybe they will get clipped on the chin this year. 8) Title: Re: Auburn ready to shock the world ... again. Really? Post by: SUPERCOACH on August 04, 2011, 07:58:47 PM If they are still an accredited university by the end of the season I will be shocked. :D
