No. 3 Illinois will play at No. 6 Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Higher seeded Illinois had a schedule conflict and can not host the game. The game will be Tuesday at 8:00.

Who will coach the Tide? Can the players get up for this game without their head coach? I do not know what to expect from our team in this game.

I'm almost afraid to watch. Maybe Pettway will coach them.

I hope fans in Tuskaloosa will pack Coleman and support the team.  Show them lots of love.

My guess, Coach Witherspoon, who was head coach at Buffalo for 14 years. By the way, his replacement @ Buffalo, Bobby Hurley, has them in the NCAA Tourney after just 2 years.

John Brannen is who I think will coach them. He is the Assistant Head Coach. He was with CAG at VCU and has been at Alabama all six years with CAG.

I do hope the fans will show up to support the team.  The guys have played hard and represented our school well. 

True.  The team could have folded after losing close games and after folks started calling for the downfall of CAG.

We played like a team with something to prove. We started strong and never let up. The first game of the year we did not hit a 5 plus minute scoring drought.

I am glad the seniors got a win in their last home game at Coleman.

I liked the 30 second shot clock. Both teams appeared to get into their offense faster than normal and I think that helped us. There were only two shot clock violations that I can remember.

Definitely seemed to help Bama concentrate on scoring instead of dribbling.

That would be the Miami Hurricanes on Saturday @ 10.00 am on ESPN.

They will need to play consistent for sure to beat Miami. They are not as bad as most people might think. I watched them play this year on the ACC channel out of Georgia TV we get. RTR!

Miami?  The commentators seem to think that Miami is strong and should have made the NCAA Tournament.  They beat Duke at Duke, Florida at Florida....  Bama wouldn't have done that this year.  If the Bama team from the Illinois game shows up, though, look out.  But this is an early morning, on the road, East Coast game for Bama.  Not the home night game Bama played v. Illinois.

What little I saw of the game.
1.  Bama players were looking to shoot.
2.  More fluid movement off the ball.
3.  Seem to push the ball up the floor more.
4.  Had players around for offensive rebounds.
5.  Look more relaxed in their play.

EXACTLY!!!  Agree with all but #4. Illinois had 17 offensive rebounds, we had 5. Your other points nailed it perfectly. Amazing, isn't it?

It's called coaching. The players were loose and never hesitated to shoot, as in past games. My son texted me and said he didn't even recognize the team.
