Alabama players with something to prove

At some point, the clock starts ticking. Those ballyhooed recruiting rankings become a thing of the past. You’re no longer a four- or five-star recruit brimming with potential, and suddenly it’s time to prove you belong.
As Alabama prepares to open spring practice on Friday, there are a number of its athletes facing a similar crossroads.
Quarterback Jake Coker, who transferred from Florida State last summer only to lose the starting job, was already spotlighted in our SEC-wide wrap-up last week, so here are four more Alabama players with something to prove in 2015:
WR Chris Black: A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away -- 2012 to be exact -- there were two freshmen receivers hoping to break through at Alabama.
