Title: Tide Running Back Re-signs with NFL Team Post by: Marshal Dillon on March 07, 2015, 10:04:38 PM I think this is a mistake. The Saints are a fading team that loves the pass. Maybe he wants to stay in the South.
??? Quote The New Orleans Saints and running back Mark Ingram have reached agreement on a four-year deal, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. The deal is worth $16 million over the four years, sources said. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/12441322/mark-ingram-new-orleans-saints-reach-four-year-deal Title: Re: Tide Running Back Re-signs with NFL Team Post by: 2Stater on March 08, 2015, 06:51:26 AM MD, I added a dash in 'Resigns' in the title of your thread. I thought he was hanging up his cleats at first. :lol2:

It's about winning. I don't know if anyone else was looking at him but the Saints train looks to be derailing. They may throw the ball a lot, but don't be fooled into thinking that they don't run. Mark had 226 carries last year for just shy of 1,000 yards. The NFL in general is a passing league now, not just the Saints, but that only makes the need for a good ball control RB more obvious. HTWMI is that kind of back, and has his best season of his career last year. I don't see any reason that he couldn't be a 1,000 yard back for several years to come. Drew Brees seems to be showing his age (36) which will impact the Saints offense. Just not sure how thing are going to work out the next 1-3 years for Saints. :dunno: Title: Re: Tide Running Back Re-signs with NFL Team Post by: cbbama99 on March 08, 2015, 08:41:49 PM I would love to have the chance to make a mistake that would pay me 16 million dollars over the next four years... I think he needs another go to receiver to help Colston out. The Saints main problem is not being able to score points but to keep the other team from scoring. They have several issues on defense that desperately need to be addressed. |
