Title: Re: Bama v. Vandy Post by: pmull on February 28, 2015, 03:55:36 PM The Tide is hitting the boards hard. We lead rebounding 19-12 with many of those on the offensive end. We lead points in the paint 20-10.
We are shooting 52%. We are playing great. We need to play the same way in the 2nd half. Title: Re: Bama v. Vandy Post by: pmull on February 28, 2015, 04:08:30 PM Vandy on a 7-0 run to start the 2nd half. Bama leads 39-34 at the under 16 break.

Title: Re: Bama v. Vandy Post by: Catch Prothro on February 28, 2015, 05:00:08 PM Bama 66 Vandy 73 FINAL
Title: Re: Bama v. Vandy Post by: ricky023 on February 28, 2015, 05:00:49 PM Well there is some growing to be done. When those legs get heavy it is hard to play basketball. I learned that when I played. I still don't understand why Coach C.M. Newton didn't give a try. I guess he knows more than me he was a coach. lol, RTR!
Title: Re: Bama v. Vandy Post by: pmull on February 28, 2015, 05:02:33 PM Just like the game in Tuscaloosa. The Dores catch fire from the three point line and get a lot of help from the ref's in the 2nd half after getting outplayed in the 1st half.
Bama loses 73-67. Title: Re: Bama v. Vandy Post by: Marshal Dillon on February 28, 2015, 08:25:53 PM I am back from the Twilight Zone. Thanks guys for making posts so I got a flavor of the game. The first half sounded so exciting, then the 2nd half posts started going downhill as the Tide was getting slapped around. Again, I appreciate your posts. The first thing I did upon arriving home was to check this thread.
   Title: Re: Bama v. Vandy Post by: Marshal Dillon on March 01, 2015, 09:30:40 AM Well, we have all seen this horror film before. It has 2 versions, (1) the Tide falls behind early and fights & scraps to fight back only to fall short & lose, or (2) the Tide looks good early only to fall apart late in the game. I think it's safe to say the chances of Grant being retained are 99% against to 1% for.
Title: Re: Bama v. Vandy Post by: pmull on March 01, 2015, 11:50:46 AM We started the year 12-3 and 2-0 SEC. Since that time we are 5-9 with wins over Auburn (2), Missouri, Miss St and South Carolina. The worst teams in the league. Our RPI has gone from upper 20's to 80. We are not a terrible team but we are not getting any better. You can look at close games with 5 losses being 1 or 2 points. Injuries have been a factor. You can make a case to keep CAG but the bottom line is we are right where we always are under Grant. We are an NIT level team. I expect more than that at ALABAMA!

I was thinking about something as I read the post and I am not really sure we are an NIT team either. We still have to finish the regular season. I dare say, then the SEC tourney and if we get dropped in the first round what then do you think? Just wondering. RTR! Title: Re: Bama v. You have nailed it perfectly. We have the same pattern of problems going on 6 years. Plus, we are 0-22 in games with Top 25 teams. We don't have 1 single significant win in 6 years. Unbelievable. I think BAMA has to win v. ole piss and atm to have any chance at getting in the NIT. I do not think they will do it. I think they will lose both. Unless every team forfeits their SEC tournament game so that BAMA can claim the title the season ends 03/07/15. You could argue that the season ended 01/27/15. |
