Just got on line and the game is now in the top of the third and Bama just took the lead 1-0 on a Haley McCleney hit.

Leslie Jury is the starting pitcher.

Bama scored 3 more runs to take a 4-0 lead. Lafaele had a double off the wall and 3 Samford errors were the reason for the runs.

Jury had a 3 up and 3 down inning to complete the 3rd inning, Bama 4-0

Denae Hays lead off the 4th with a hard single to left followed by a bloop single by Chandler Dare. Mcleney then singled sharply to right scoring Hays. McCleney then stole second and Dare scored on the throw to second, Bama leads 6-0. Bama stranded McCleney at third.

Jury sets Samford down 1-2-3and after 4, Bama 6-0.

Runyan homered over the right field fence to extend Bama's lead to 7-0

Jury sets Samford down in order and after 5, Bama 7-0. Jury has now set down 10 in a row and has very good control of her pitches tonight. She is also throwing a pretty good off speed pitch tonight, a pitch that she has needed her whole career but could never seem to master it.

Danielle Richard got a 2 out single for Bama but Jadyn Spencer ground out to end the inning.

Samford gets a lead off infield hit and CPM replaces Jury with Sydney Littlejohn. Jury only allowed 3 hits, a great outing for her. Littlejohn gets an infield pop up for the first out. Littlejohn then strikes out the next batter on 3 pitches. The next batter grounds out and Bama goes to the 7th inning leading 7-0.

Sounds like a really exciting game.   To bad they aren't playing this one in Tuscaloosa... Thanks for the in-game commentary...

Littlejohn gives up a lead off 2 strike home run for Samford. Littlejohn then gave up a hit and walk with 2 out but got the last batter to pop up for the final out.

Bama wins 7-1.

Good game but I thought Littlejohn got a little lazy with her pitches in the last inning. Hopefully Jury can continue to pitch the way she has started this year, good job tonight.

I hope she has a good year this year, she is a senior and has struggled with her control for most of her career at Bama.

This weekend is big for Bama even though it is very early in the season. Last year they went to Arizona and stunk up the place so hopefully they will find Stanford more to their liking.

I think we'll see just how good our pitchers are against Stanford.
