He was third after running an 8.01 in the prelims, but won it with a 7.89 in the finals. Auburn's Torrey Campbell qualified first with a 7.92, but didn't finish in the finals. Brown also ran the 60 meters at the Vanderbilt Invitational. He finished sixth (6.84) after qualifying fourth (6.82).
