Title: Trent Richardson-Update-Family Emergency Post by: Marshal Dillon on January 15, 2015, 11:42:10 PM Interesting.
Quote With Indianapolis one victory from reaching the Super Bowl, running back Trent Richardson wants what's best for the Colts. But the former Alabama star also doesn't expect to be on the bench again when his team plays the New England Patriots for the AFC championship on Sunday. http://www.al.com/sports/index.ssf/2015/01/nfl_playoffs_2015_trent_richar.html#incart_more_sports Title: Re: Trent Richardson Inactive Status-Update Post by: cbbama99 on January 16, 2015, 03:29:42 PM Interesting. I think Trent has lost a step too. Just don't know why. Title: Re: Trent Richardson Inactive Status-Update Post by: Catch Prothro on January 17, 2015, 10:54:19 AM I think TR is the type of back, similar to Henry, who needs to get up a head of steam. Like a freight train. Despite Henry's size and power, we saw how Yeldon is actually a better back between the tackles than Henry because he can make quicker cuts in the gap. Kiffin addressed this by running more sweeps with Henry, giving him the opportunity to get moving.
At Bama, TR had an awesome offensive line that gave him that space. We don't have the same OLine. I think TR could be successful with a team that ran a power running type of offense, but with the Colts he has a pass first offensive line that isn't quite as powerful, and his weaknesses have been exposed. I hope he gets traded to a team that can make better use of his talents. "I had to miss walk-through," Richardson told ESPN.com on Sunday. "I'm dealing with a very serious family emergency. I'm still at the hospital. I wouldn't purposely just miss walk-through." http://espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/2014/story/_/id/12188457/trent-richardson-indianapolis-colts-family-emergency Title: Re: Trent Richardson-Update-Family Emergency Post by: bama87 on January 18, 2015, 06:57:31 PM Saw a twet earlier that said his mother had passed away.

Good for him for putting his mother before everything. Sounds like he could have and should have reached out more to his team about it. Sorry for his loss. There's no goo time to lose your mamma.
