Duron's been in the CFL playing for Montreal for a couple of years.

“I wouldn’t have taken a chance on me either,” he said. “I would say I wasn’t ready to come out. I just had no idea what it took and what it meant to be a professional athlete at all. I feel like I have started to accomplish that in Montreal.”

Maybe he's got his act together now and can make it in the NFL.

I thought his issues had to do more with academics.   ???

I think it was overall work ethic, which encompasses academics.
