Frost was the local high school stud at that time. He shunned Nebraska and signed with Stanford out of HS. He transferred to the Huskers after riding the bench at Stanford. He was a good QB for them and won a NC. He played for Tom Osborne who had nasty "Black Shirt" defenses at that time. Frost should understand the importance of playing solid "D".
He could be perfect for the job but like MD said it is a huge risk in hiring a coordinator with no HC experience. I also agree with Chech that winning 9 games with their schedule is not a great accomplishment. A typical schedule consists of 6 games you can not lose, 3 games you should win and 3 games that could go either way.
