Title: Missouri is Next Post by: Jamos on November 30, 2014, 08:34:07 PM I know beating Auburn is a year round thing and I'll still be celebrating the win for days to come but it's time to put on our game face for the next foe, Missouri. What is it going to take for Bama to win this game? What does Missouri do that might give us problems, on the offense and the defense. How many points will Bama need to win this game. There are many questions about this team so let's get us a game plan for another set of Tigers. ;)
Title: Re: Missouri is Next Post by: Jamos on November 30, 2014, 08:44:33 PM I don't see Missouri as potent on offense as Auburn was but I think they might be a little better on the defensive side of the ball. Another thing that Missouri does well is play extremely well on the road and that is something that Bama has not dome well this year. Playing in Atlanta might seem like a home game for Bama though having played so many games over there and the big crowd following. I'm sure though that Missouri will fill their ticket allotment and the crowd noise may not be a factor. I think that our running game needs to be at it's best, this would give Sims a little relief in the passing department. I think we will need to score 4 touchdowns or better to win the game.
Title: Re: Missouri is Next Post by: 2Stater on November 30, 2014, 08:48:53 PM Mizzou's offense is Auburn Lite. Our CB's will need to step it up Saturday. Mauk isn't that great of a passer, but the receivers are pretty good. Mauk is a good scrambler.
Their defense improved as the season progressed. We need a healthy O line. It would be nice to have a solid running game to control the TOP, with a few 80 yd TD passes to Coop. 8) Title: Re: Missouri is Next Post by: bamaphil on November 30, 2014, 09:26:53 PM Unless our guys come out tired or emotionally flat following four physically and emotionally exhausting weeks, they should win easily. Missouri won't score 36 points on our D. We may not score 55, but we should get up into the 30's unless Champion Blake Sims completely loses it, but Champion Blake Sims will play like a champion and Bama will roll.

Their road record is mostly built on the back of beating Vandy, Kentucky, Arkansas, Tennessee, Ole Miss (2013), S. Carolina (2014), Georgia (2013), UF (2014), A&M (2014). The UGA victory was 2013 when they lost all those players to injury, in other words, they have played all these teams when they were down. Incredible run of good luck. Title: Re: Missouri is Next Post by: Catch Prothro on November 30, 2014, 11:54:52 PM I don't see Missouri as potent on offense as Auburn was but I think they might be a little better on the defensive side of the ball. Georgia beat them easily. I think Mizzou must have a decent defense and decent offense, but I really can't figure them out this year. ??? They run to the ball well, play consistently, but lack the talent and speed of Ole Miss. Our biggest opponents against Missouri will be our injuries, exhaustion, and attention to detail. Our defense can't play like they did against Western Carolina, or we'll lose. As said above, expect Missouri to come out sky high. Hopefully we'll match that. :popcorn2: Title: Re: Missouri is Next Post by: XBAMA on December 01, 2014, 11:03:02 AM hope it's more like this .... :lol2:

Everything like punts and kickoffs and fumbles. No penalties. We can't give Missouri good starting field position. It seems we play better when we start with better field position than our opponent.
Pass rush, to me we have to shake up Maty Mauk everytime he touches the ball. The only other thing I see is the arm tackles. I may be wrong but I just can not see anybody making an arm tackle having any chance to work in the SEC. Since missouri has come to the East in the SEC they are getting to the SECCG fairly well. I guess this means Spurrier is not the monster he acts like. He is just a visor throwing kitten. RTR! Title: Re: Missouri is Next Post by: N.AL-Tider on December 01, 2014, 09:11:05 PM I think if Blake Sims comes out flat and/or unfocused all we have to do to correct that will be to have Coker start warming up on the sideline... Worked like a charm in the Iron Bowl... ;)
Title: Re: Missouri is Next Post by: Marshal Dillon on December 01, 2014, 09:56:37 PM I wonder if we will hear any comments about our "old man football."

Title: Re: Missouri is Next Post by: Chechem on December 02, 2014, 05:59:07 AM Missouri will get better as the week goes along.
Just watch; television ratings do wonders for a team's standing. Title: Re: Missouri is Next Post by: 2Stater on December 02, 2014, 08:18:17 AM Missouri will get better as the week goes along. Just watch; television ratings do wonders for a team's standing. A lot of people around the country will watch, just hoping to see Bama lose. Those, that aren't Bama fans, are tired of Bama winning.
