Saban: Tide embrace expectations

I posted this because alot of Al.com writers are afraid to alienate readers by writing good articles about The tide and also post too many videos instead of columns. I have grown weary of vidoe sports news, I like it in print alot better, I can read most of it before a video even runs. You know what I mean.

"The Tide will have a second chance this season to take on those expectations. Alabama has been picked by the media to win the SEC (and the SEC winner has won the last five national titles) and there’s a chance the Tide could open the season at No. 1 in the polls."

Hightower said the Tide learned from last year’s experience and will take a different approach this season.

“We don’t want to see any of that stuff in the media,” Hightower said. “Maybe last year some guys look too far into that and got a big head, or whatever.

“This year, it’s not about that. We’re not paying attention to what’s being said in the media and who’s on the All-SEC and All-America teams. We’re just concentrating on getting better for that first game and then taking it one game at a time from there. We’re not into the hype.”

I put this one on the front page too.  That means +5 to you CHC, in case you weren't aware.

The players are saying all the right things.  If they keep that attitude we will have a really good shot at #14.
