Pro Bowl hopeful Dre Kirkpatrick part of Iron Bowl split in NFL's Thursday night game
(http://media.al.com/sports_impact/photo/dre-kirkpatrickjpg-3c59f809e0ede45d.jpg)If the Cincinnati Bengals don't make it to the Super Bowl this season, Dre Kirkpatrick wants to go to the Pro Bowl. That might seem an unreachable goal for a player who's listed as the backup left cornerback on the Cincinnati depth chart, but the former Alabama All-American is hoping to earn the spot as the AFC's special-teams player.

Title: Clemson v. Wake Forest In The Game
Post by: Catch Prothro on November 06, 2014, 07:15:23 PM
Thursday night game on ESPN.

Wake is pretty terrible this year.

BUT

Wake 7 Clemson 0

In the second quarter.

Wake got and INT and ran a trick play (double reverse with a pass to the QB) to get into the red zone.

Clemson starts scoring in the second quarter.

Wake punter's knee on the ground when he fielded the snap, giving Clemson the football in the red zone, and Clemson gets a cheap TD.

Clemson 10 Wake 7

10-7 Clemson. Wake has probably spent all their energy.

Dre Kirkpatrick is one of four Alabama players on the Bengals, along with defensive end Wallace Gilberry, linebacker Nico Johnson and offensive tackle Andre Smith.

I don't know.

Maybe Wake should punt on first down.

Ball sails through Clemson return man's hands, fumble, Wake football in the red zone.  Balances out Wake's prior special teams mistake.

Pass interference helped a bunch on that drive.

Kudos to Wake for hanging in for a half. Not only are they not deep, they aren't that good shallow.  :popcorn2:

I don't think Wake Forest has any National Titles or Heisman winners.

So they bronzed their mascot instead.   :lol2:

Horrible targeting call against Clemson. Even the replay buffoons got it wrong. I have no dog in this hunt, but the home cooking is unbelievable. And now a PI call against Clemson, that wasn't. Jeez, this is blatant.
