Nico Johnson makes 'crazy, insane' jump from practice squad to NFL starter

That's where Johnson was laboring when he got a call from Cincinnati. The Bengals needed linebacker depth, and they wanted Johnson on the team. Eighteen days later, he was in Cincinnati's starting lineup, a whirlwind climb up the NFL ladder that Johnson called "crazy, insane."
