Title: Monday Night FB: Native Americans vs Cowboys
Post by: Chechem on October 27, 2014, 07:22:19 PM
Colt McCoy has spent 4 years in rehab for his broken ego, and now he's starting for Washington.

Better tune in early.  That boy's bones snap like kindling!

 :P

I know ricky is sitting on the edge of his seat for this one -- he's a huge Cote McCoy fan.   :lol2:

Cowpokes are off to a fast start.

Don't think the Indians have comparable weapons on defense.

Good punt return by the Redskins natives.

Better fire the special-teams coach!

Dallas should just abandon the pass. They're getting it done with the run.

Dislocated ankle. He's been out since week 2.  I don't know who has been starting since then.  This is Cote's first start, so he must be a third stringer.

Kirk Cousins, the QB we annihilated in the 2010 Outback bowl, replaced RGIII. Cote replaced him last week.

I'm sensing a pattern starting to emerge.

Redskins defense sack Romo twice four times.

Romo is injured.

Brandon Weeden, formerly from OK State (some overlap with Dez Bryant) is in.  He tries two passes to Dez Bryant in the end zone, incomplete.  Cowboys kick a FG.

I was asleep, but here's the recap:

Quote
ARLINGTON, Texas -- Colt McCoy directed Washington to Kai Forbath's 40-yard field goal in overtime and Dallas was unable to answer after Tony Romo returned from an apparent injury, sending the Redskins to a 20-17 victory on Monday night that snapped the Cowboys' six-game winning streak.

McCoy, the former Texas star playing at the home of the Cowboys for the first time since his final college game in his home state, calmly drove the Redskins (3-5) to the winning points.

The Cowboys (6-2) had one last chance, but didn't get a first down. Romo's final pass on fourth down was knocked away by Bashaud Breeland...

I don't know why the Cowboys put Romo back in.  He was ineffective before he left the game, and returned "walking like Fred G. Sanford" according to the announcers.  The Redskins were blitzing him without mercy, and he was not finding the open outlet receiver or calling an audible.

Weeden was responsible for 10 of the Cowboy's 17 points in the game, coming into the game in the third quarter.
