Title: Nail Gun Advice
Post by: ssmith general on October 19, 2014, 12:22:37 PM
I have been thinking for a year or two that it is probably time to get a nail gun.  The wood is becoming more evil every day.  I've never really owned a nail gun or felt the need to.  But the wood was broken up in my fence reminded me that I need to get this taken care of pretty soon.  You know there are hidden lone wolf loose boards in the yard somewhere just waiting for the right moment to fall.

I've done carpentry a few times as a kid and I know the basics about nail gun safety.  I have enough common sense to be safe.  However, common sense also dictates that I educate myself as much as I can, so I will probably take a nail gun safety course if I can find one around here.

I think I want to get a pneumatic, but I am very concerned about getting myself into trouble with the compressor.  I would hate to run out of hose because I walked too far or somewhere with my nail gun on me.

If you guys have any advice, I would love to hear it.

Thanks.

You could go with a cordless electric nail gun, they are a bit pricey but they would sure be handy.

went with the bostich pneumatic.  Nailing everything together right now.

Also, I guess you missed it, but I used this opportunity to make a parody.
