I've been up since 4:30, I'm sinking, and tomorrow I go back to the gun show all day.

Know the feeling. We drove to Gulf Shores for the week and it's really tough to relax in the beachfront condo listening to the waves breaking.

1.  Communication is the root of our problems.  Players don't play with confidence and intensity when they're unsure of their assignments.

I don't know if our problem is coaching, execution, focus or what.  I am convinced though that Bama IS NOT all that good this year.  I think we will be very lucky to win 4 of our remaining games.  I hope I am wrong.

We are playing like a poorly coached team. I do not know what the problem is but we are not playing well in any phase of the game. Players look confused and making too many dumb mistakes. Frustrating to watch the last two weeks.

Too many to mention. Not trying to be a naysayer here, but it really is true. We had some chemistry in the UF game that has suddenly disappeared. They have to regain that and eliminate the flagrant mistakes. A little time at home this week may be the needed tonic.

It's all about coaching and injuries. Consider, when did our problems with the DB's & O-line really surface? Starting last year 2013. Who left the coaching staff in 2012? Jeremy Pruitt (DB coach) & Jeff Stoudtland, O-line coach. Those are not coincidences. Plus, our offensive execution is crap this year, is it due to a new offensive coordinator or is it because the offensive coordinator is not effective? Nussmeier was the OC of a high scoring offense in 2013, so is that a coincidence or what? I don't know but it is worrisome.

We have the worst guard play in the conference. Both Arie K and Brown cost us multiple yards in missed blocking assignments, not to mention stupid penalties. You just know that we have to be having trouble in relaying line calls to our tackles as well.

I guess my biggest worry is everything. We have no intensity or purpose like we have in the past. Quit getting 5* and get 3* that want to play and win. Not come here to be on espn everyday. RTR!

I sure hope this is good therapy, because LOTS of us are bummed with performance.

I'm with 2, playing a weaker defense (Texas A&M) this week should help rebuild confidence.  But we'll need to get well too.

I hope this game was analogous to the 12-10 win over Tennessee.  No one played well.  We got better every week after the TN win.

I truly think CNS needs to take the team back over and coach. If we have players, and I don't care how great they think in their own minds they are, that is not giving 110% then bench those heros and let's win with people who want to play Alabama football. If the schemes are to hard get some of the players with enuff brains to read them. CNS brought championship football to Alabama when he first came why has it all of a sudden dropped off? RTR!

I'm just frustrated with the lack of communication like Chech said and the stupid mistakes we are making. Way too many penalties and shooting ourselves in the foot. I still think this team can finish strong, but not if these things continue to happen. We got away with it (barely) against Arky, but we won't be so fortunate against MSU and the like.

Good to see you didn't harm yourself after the O's game then the Bama performance.

My other gripe is that the O's can't seem to hit or pitch this week. I am glad to see the Royals do well, but I really hoped and thought the O's would go to the WS. If the Royals go George Brett will have a heart attack. rofl, RTR!

The Braves HAVE to get some hitters, especially clutch hitters!

This is the most undisciplined Saban-coached team I've seen since 2007.  The penalties at crucial times and turnovers are killing us.  Also, the special times leave a whole lot to be desired, even more so than in recent years.  Back in July during SEC media days, an unnamed former coach in the SEC said that on paper we looked like an 8 win team.  Most Bama fans probably either laughed at that or thought it was offensive.  Now, what that coach said doesn't sound so laughable or offensive.

 :pray:, wow you ain't kidding MD. Also we need some defense too. I am wondering if Freddie G. is as good as I first thought. My thinking was that Bobby had a lot of say in who got the managers' job and I figured freddie had to be it. Now sure am second guessing myself on that thought. RTR!

     I don't like people who stand in the checkout line and wait until after the cashier  tells them 2 times what their total is and then get their pocketbook/ wallet out and then at the last minute says "Wait and let me see if I have the change in the bottom of my pocketbook/ pocket" and then start rummaging !

Why didn't we run left behind Robinson?  I thought that was where we had a little bit of success this year. We ran 8,723 runs to the right for nuttin'.  Why not run behind left tackle? Why? ...And I don't like walmarks either

Absolutely true about being undisciplined and the penalties/turnovers.  Coach Saban HAS GOT to get this under control.  I think I recall reading something about a lack of self-discipline being an issue last year with some of the players too.  Mayb a sense of entitlement?  I think at this point that Bama will be extremely lucky to finish the regular season with 8 wins.  Probably more like 7-5 actually.  What was our '07 record?  7-6 thanks to a Independence Bowl victory...  :-[

I know there was talk about a difference in Saban's demeanor in the first week or two in the season.  Here's what I see.

In 2008 I remember clearly that Bama was dominating Arkansas in the first half.  Bama was up big, and in the halftime interview Saban was angry.  He had almost nothing good to say.
2014, Bama has just played one of the worst halves of football I've see in a while, and Saban is calm, saying good things.

Last year and this year the team has lacked something we saw the previous two years and in 08-09: a hunger, a drive to excel, swagger, passion, etc.  It seems, from where I'm sitting 6000 miles away, that something has changed in Saban - and that change has affected the team. 

You watched the game?  Saban was more pissed than at any time this year.   ???
