Title: I still think
Post by: hscoach on October 08, 2014, 06:27:48 PM
Bama can win the National Championship.  Is it going to be easy, no.  They have got to clean up their game with assignment and especially penalties.  If you guys remember, Bama lost a game they should have won against LSU and went on to win the NC that year.  Also, I have confidence in the coaching staff to get this done.  It is time for the players to step up and take responsibility for their actions.  Bama was in position to beat OM, but gave it away.  By the way everyone of those mistakes are correctable.

I agree somewhat, but that loss was late in the season. We have a long way to go to win the rest of our games. Plus, Ole Miss, Miss. State, & Auburn are better than 2011. We can do it, but we have to play with fire in our bellies and way less penalties & turnovers.

We can definitely still win it.  It all depends on how we respond.  I can't wait to see how we play against Arkansas.

I'm always optimistic about upcoming games.  Hopefully we'll see a team full of dedicated souls who win it all.

Bama can still win it all but they are going to need some better luck with the injuries and have some better play execution on the field. Playing not to lose won't win it all.

Two outstanding points. If injuries don't stop, we are toast, plus the loss of Drake & continuing problems for White might be insurmountable. The playing not to lose was noticed by my son & me.

I used to think that good conditioning cuts down on injuries, but our players get the best conditioning available, so it seems luck plays the major part.

Bama has been very fortunate over the last 6 or 7 years to avoid major injuries.  KD's injury was not one that any amount of conditioning could prevent.  Hopefully we won't have any further major injuries that keep our best players on the sideline.  Aside from the injury bug, I feel we HAVE GOT to control the ball security better and eliminate all of the penalties if we want to make the play offs.

It is up to the players. We have the talent and coaching to win the championship this year. The players have to want it. It will take a lot of hard work and extra effort. Are they willing to pay that price?

Turnovers can not be eliminated but they can be greatly reduced. Penalties can and must be eliminated.

IMO Ole Miss wanted the game last week more than we did. I am hoping we were playing tentative trying not to lose rather than playing to win. We must play like our hair is on fire the rest of the season.

I like our chances to still win the SEC. Even if Ole Miss runs the table, which I do not think they will do, the SEC should get two teams in the playoff.
