Title: Prayer Request, Please...(Edited)
Post by: rueben on July 12, 2011, 09:31:59 AM
I may have a very unique career / training opportunity, coming up. There are a very limited number of slots available, and one of the biggest deciding factors will be rank. As in, Firefighters have priority, then Sergeants then Captains. I am a Captain,so I am very low on the the list. However, there are a few things that will separate me from the rest of the applicants, that will work in my favor. This is something that I have wanted to do for a very long time, even before my particular city ever considered doing it. I will know some thing by between now, and the second week of August.
This is pretty low in priority compared, to 99.99% of the prayer request, but it could certainly have an outcome on the health and well being of others!
Okay, soon after I posted this, my wife got a phone call form her sister, stating their dad has died.  Not unexpected, he has been on hospice. My wife and her father were not very close, but she is going to make the trip to Philly ( from south Alabama). We are not sure if she is gonna drive or fly, but I would like to make a prayer request for her safe travels.  We can put the other prayer request (stated above,) on the back burner.

No request taken before our Father has a higher or lower priority. If it is important to you, then that is all that matters. Will pray for you, brother.

Father we hallow your name. We bring the request of our Brother to your throne Boldly yet with humbleness. We pray that Lord you knowing he is your child, you would give this brother the desires of his heart. Lord as you raise him through the ranks may he remember to give thanks to you and spread your name among others as for what you do in his life. We thank you now Lord for this answered prayer, we Love you, Glorify you and Praise you in the name of Jesus of Nazareth, Amen!
