Title: Ravens Executives Knew About Rice Assault Tape-Article

Uh oh, it's getting deep out there.

The Ray Rice scandal has taken yet another turn.
An "Outside the Lines" report Friday claims the Baltimore Ravens employed "a pattern of misinformation and misdirection" in handling the case after Rice was videotaped striking his now-wife Janay in an Atlantic City casino elevator in February.

Quote
Some of the key claims from the OTL report:
• Darren Sanders, the Ravens' director of security, apparently saw the infamous elevator tape that was made public by TMZ in September "just hours" after the original incident and "quickly" notified team executives;
• Ravens executives (owner Steve Bisciotti, president Dick Cass and general manager Ozzie Newsome are named) embarked on "extensive public and private campaigns" seeking leniency in Rice's punishment;

The owner REALLY looks bad in the article. This is the heart of the problem in the NFL, the owners. They are the ones behind the lack of discipline in many areas because what happens to a player affects their bottom line.

And its really surprising, because Bisciotti is consistently rated as one of the better owners in the league. He is really involved in the community and he lets his football people make football decisions instead of guys like Jerry Jones. I am very disappointed in him, Cass, and, most of all, Ozzie.  >:(

The problem is if the owner tells his underlings what to do, they either do it or lose their job.

True. And how do you go about disciplining a guy that is worth somewhere in the neighborhood of $1 billion?

That's what I am thinking MD. You are dead on the nose. If he is the best owner then how do we really know that he allows his people do all things? What is going on backstage? :o RTR!

Tell his momma on him, have Adrian Petersen spank him with a switch, and make him watch Tampa Bay reruns of their games in 1976-1978.
