Title: Oscar Pistorius not guilty of prem. murder; updated: guilty...
Post by: 2Stater on September 11, 2014, 09:07:37 AM
http://www.foxnews.com/world/2014/09/11/pistorius-trial-judge-begins-reading-verdict-in-murder-case/

Pretty big story, so I posted it here in the Quad. Feel free to move it later.

Quote
Judge Thokozile Masipa said she felt the double-amputee Olympian acted negligently when he fatally shot Steenkamp through a toilet door in his home in the predawn hours of Valentine's Day last year. In a moment of high-drama, she then stopped reading out her judgment in the six-month-long trial and adjourned until Friday. A formal judgment in the case that has riveted much of South Africa and the world is expected on Friday.

If Pistorius is acquitted of murder, he could still be sent to jail for years if convicted of culpable homicide.

Not Scott-free yet.

Like OJ (in some ways), no proof of guilt.  Burden of proof was not met.

All sad, all bad.

 :(

Right. No outcome, whatever it may be, is not a good one. Can't bring her back.

Just as long as he doesn't use the term "redskin".  If he does, then he goes straight to jail.
