"It's called development," Saban said. "We've talked about that before. Some of these young guys are developing nicely but they still have a ways to go. We're encouraged by their ability to make plays, but we just have to improve their consistency."

Saban pointed to a few miscues in the Florida Atlantic game. Stewart, who caught three passes for 63 yards, was flagged for a false start in the fourth quarter.

Then there was Foster's first and only catch of the day. Thrown by Jacob Coker, it was much like the screen passes that helped Amari Cooper to a school-record 13 receptions. But the inexperience came through for the former 5-star recruit.

"There's a certain spot that he's supposed to run and he doesn't run to it and he probably would have walked into the end zone if he did," Saban said...

"Coach (Billy) Napier and coach (Lane) Kiffin were very impressed with us," Black said. "We made a lot of great blocks outside of just catching the ball. We had a lot of great blocks."

Looks like Black has figured out the secret on how to get playing time. Maybe he should tutor Drake.
