What we saw

-- LB Trey DePriest (knee) increased his workload after primarily standing off to the side with a trainer during the previous two practices. He's still clearly not back to 100 percent, and it wouldn't surprise us if he switched into a non-contact jersey once the hitting commenced. That said, it's still a step in the right direction.

-- Did we already say it was hot? There was much more urgency from Alabama's army of water distributors, as they swarmed the field less than 10 minutes after reporters flooded the sidelines. Head trainer Jeff Allen was the most popular guy at practice. Today, he was the head sprayer.

-- It certainly was hot, but outside linebackers coach Lance Thompson was wearing a sweatshirt.

-- Dakota Ball worked exclusively with the tight ends during today's viewing window.
...

Trey's back!  :jump:
