Title: Bud and Bobby make the cut Post by: 2Stater on July 12, 2014, 06:15:23 AM At the John Deere Classic. Bud Cauley is tied for 10th at -8. His game really seems to be coming back into form.
Bobby Wyatt just made the cut. He is tied for 57th at -2. Michael Thompson and Jason Bohn missed the cut. Title: Re: Bud and Bobby make the cut Post by: Jamos on July 12, 2014, 06:34:54 AM It sure looks like Cauley got himself some good help in getting his game back on track. I hope he can have another good day today and get to play in the final 2-3 teams tomorrow.
Title: Re: Bud and Bobby make the cut Post by: pmull on July 12, 2014, 09:10:12 AM I wonder if Cauley made a swing change or something like that. He struggled early this year but seems to be playing much better now.

He struggled early this year but seems to be playing much better now. It looks like the same swing to me. I'm wondering if he experimented with a new swing, found out it wasn't working, and went back to his old swing? I'm wondering if he experimented with a new swing, found out it wasn't working, and went back to his old swing? I have to agree with this. Cauley has had three rounds of under par golf this tournament which tells me what ever he has done to improve his game is working. Golf can look so easy to play when you watch the professionals on tv but it's a far cry from being that, it is a very tough game to conquer. Title: Re: Bud and Bobby make the cut Post by: pmull on July 13, 2014, 08:05:41 AM Cauley goes to the final round at -10 good for T18. He tees off at 11:24. A good round today will help his confidence, FedEx standing and get him a nice payday.
Title: Re: Bud and Bobby make the cut Post by: ricky023 on July 13, 2014, 11:26:25 AM Well I would love to see a playoff between the 2 of them. that lighten my day for sure. RTR!
Title: Re: Bud and Bobby make the cut Post by: pmull on July 13, 2014, 12:09:28 PM Cauley is off to a good start. He is -1 thru 3 holes.
Title: Re: Bud and Bobby make the cut Post by: pmull on July 13, 2014, 01:51:09 PM Cauley is -2 after 10 holes which has him at T13. He is only 1 stroke away from the Top 10.
Bobby Wyatt shot -3 today to finish at -5. It is not the finish he wanted but it has to help his confidence to make the cut and get a check. Title: Re: Bud and Bobby make the cut Post by: pmull on July 13, 2014, 02:47:15 PM Cauley has two bogies on the back nine after 14 holes and is even on the day. He is falling back in the pack.
Title: Re: Bud and Bobby make the cut Post by: pmull on July 13, 2014, 05:01:05 PM Cauley blew up on the back nine shooting a 41 which included a triple bogie. He was +3 on the day to finish at -7. The poor finish cost him a lot of money.

The poor finish cost him a lot of money. It's hard to put 4 quality rounds together in a tourney. I still think Bud is on the rise. Kudos to Bobby Wyatt turning the corner and winning some money. I think he will get better and better as he plays more tourneys. Title: Re: Bud and Bobby make the cut Post by: pmull on July 13, 2014, 05:58:53 PM Bobby wyatt needs to make cuts and win some money or he is headed to Q School and most likely the Web.com tour.
