Title: NCAA president Mark Emmert challenged by Senate committee
Post by: Jamos on July 10, 2014, 06:26:16 AM
Appearing before the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation, Emmert fielded questions on everything from multi-year scholarships to revenue to campus violence. He agreed with many of contentions raised by senators but noted the difficulties of building consensus through the NCAA's membership, drawing a harsh critique from Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.).

"I can't tell whether you're in charge, or whether you're a minion to them," McCaskill told Emmert. "If you're merely a monetary pass-through, why should you even exist?"

Haha! The once powerful Gestapo being dressed down by a political "minion". If that ain't the pot calling the kettle black! You just can't make this stuff up.
